Your special day will ensure you fall in love with the great outdoors. Our team LOVE it! and we’re sure you will too! Your licensed wedding ceremony will take place nestled in our 15 acre woodland within an enchanting thatched shelter with your nearest and dearest taking in the view. Should it take your fancy we can even have your wedding rings flown in by owl! Enjoy a glass of fizz in the woodland or at our waterside gazebo, the perfect photo spot!

If you would like your guests to truly take in the great outdoors (and give them a day to talk about!) take advantage of the exclusive hire of the venue. We can create you a package full of fun activities from archery, falconry, segway, crazy golf (crazy golf is bags of fun with a glass of prosecco!) to human table football and much more!

Party the night away in our barn, which has a capacity of up to 200 guests, where you’ll find our fully licensed bar, space to eat, drink and celebrate! We pride ourselves on creating a relaxed day and night and one that you and your guests will never forget as you sit back in our lounge area and soak up the evening.

If your guests need to rest their heads there is a camping and caravan facilities on-site and plenty of hotel accommodation within 1 mile.

There is so much to consider when planning your wedding. To help get you started, here are some frequently asked questions about Cheshire Woodland Weddings. If you have any further queries, please get in touch.

How many guests can we bring?

We can accommodate 150 guests during the day and an extra 50 in the evening.

Can we get married there?

Yes, you can. We are licensed for a civil service or a hand tie service.

Can we have full exclusivity?

Yes, you can hire the whole site just for you and your guests with or without all the activities we have to offer depending on the package you choose.

What activities do you offer?

We have a full range of activities depending on which package you choose. This will be discussed with your Wedding Co-ordinator but to list a few we have Falconry, Segway, Archery, Crazy Golf, Inflatable Football, low ropes and much more.

Can you bring your own catering?

Cheshire Woodland Weddings does not hold a catering license, therefore all catering must be carried out by a third party supplier – this can range from event caterers, pizza vans, hog roast etc. We have a recommended list of caterers who we have worked with previously and have great relationships with.

All caterers must visit the venue and be signed off by the wedding coordinator. Your caterers will need to provide serving staff and deal with all waste management.

Please note: your caterers must be on site in plenty of time before your service and any caterers who typically work from a gazebo have to use our catering shelter instead.

Can you bring your own drink?

No, sorry due to licensing we have our own bar. You can bring your own bottles of Fizz/wine and toast Fizz but you will be charged corkage per bottle. This is to be discussed with the Wedding Co-ordinator.

What time is last orders?

Last orders is at 11:15pm with the bar closing shortly after this.

Do you have accommodation?

Blakemere Village has a caravan park and camping site which we advise you to book if interested early as you can, as it is a very popular park.

We also have a local Premier Inn at Sandiway, and beautiful log cabins locally at Hollie’s Farm shop and once again they are very popular so book early.

You have a vast range of hotels and rentals in the area to suit all budgets.

Live Music: can we have a band?

Yes, you can have a band but they must arrange arrival times with the co-ordinator and finish for 10.30pm. Please note, the DJ can still play music after 10.30pm until 11.30pm.

Are fireworks allowed?

Unfortunately not, however, we can provide an amazing laser light show on request. Please contact us for more information.

Can we use our own venue dresser to decorate the venue?

Yes, this can be arranged. But this must be within our guidelines and agreed with our co-ordinator.

Can we have our own florist?

Yes, you can but this must be agreed and co-ordinated by our wedding co-ordinator.

What tables do you have?

We have 6-foot wooden trestle tables with benches which are normally in rows joined together and can sit 8 people per table.

What time should we order our taxi for?

We recommend that all taxis and carriages must be arranged before 12 as the barn needs to be vacated by midnight.

When can the wedding cake be dropped off?

The morning of the wedding.

Can we add small personal touches to the venue?

Yes, this can be arranged with the wedding co-ordinator but must be agreed first and must be delivered to us 24 hours prior to the wedding.

Can we have a photo booth?

Yes, we love a photo booth but must be arranged via our co-ordinator stating size of booth, delivery time and set up time.

Can you arrange transport?

We recommend local company, BusyBus for private hire of minibuses to get you to and from our venue from your chosen accommodation. For more information, view BusyBus’ website here.

Do you have full disabled access throughout the venue?

Yes, all areas of our site are accessible without the need of lifts. We also have a golf buggy to help our less able guests people around the venue.
